Memberships are sold through Link. Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company, is the merchant of record: it processes your payment, handles sales tax, VAT or GST, and sends your receipts. Link’s purchase terms also apply to your payment. We are responsible for the Dear Maeve service itself.

• You must be 18 or older. You confirm your age before reading; we do not verify it.
• You can read the opening chapters without an account. To become a member you need an account.
• We may close an account that belongs to someone under 18.

A membership gives you access to every published chapter on Dear Maeve while it is active. The library changes over time: we add stories and may edit or remove one.

Membership costs USD 9.99 a month or USD 69.99 a year. The price includes any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies. Checkout may show the price in your local currency; the amount shown there is what you pay.

Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and the membership price is charged at the start of each new period, until you cancel. Before you pay, you agree to this at checkout. If the price changes, we will tell you before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

• Cancel at any time from your account (“Manage or cancel membership”), or from your Link account at link.com.
• Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; then member chapters lock. Your account, saved stories and reading progress stay.
• You cannot delete your Dear Maeve account while a membership is still renewing. Cancel the membership first, then delete the account.

• Cancelling does not refund the current period.
• Refund requests for a payment are handled under Link’s refund policy and the law where you live. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, Link’s terms give you a 14-day cooling-off period from when you get access: contact Link support and give “cooling off period” as the reason. You can also email us at dearmaeve.letters@gmail.com.
• A refund does not by itself end your membership. To stop future payments, cancel it.

• You keep access to member chapters for 72 hours from when the payment was due. The site shows the exact time.
• After that, member chapters are paused until payment succeeds. Your account, saved stories, reading progress and the free chapters stay available.
• Payment is retried automatically for a period. You can update your payment method from your account at any time; once payment succeeds, access returns.
• If the final retry fails, your membership is cancelled.

The stories and the site are protected by copyright. Your membership lets you read them for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, publish, share, sell or scrape them, or use them to train artificial intelligence systems. What we publish follows our content policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, belongs to someone under 18, or is used for fraud or abuse.

We work to keep Dear Maeve available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable or that result from events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your membership, we will tell you before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
